This retainer is designed to affix a "non-functional" horn button onto the steering wheel as this item is not insulated. This should only be used wtih an aftermarket steering column that has an external or remote horn button seperate of the center of the wheel.

These columns have the same dimensions and features as the Ididit columns available on this website, but are only 16" long instead of 30". The unpainted finish allows you to customize them in the color of your choice! The columns have the common 3/4" double "D" shaft and accept the '69-up GM steering wheels, adaptors and wiring harnesses and also use the "Swinger" drops on this website. Both can be used with the under dash mount listed below or you can design your own. (Normal installation is two drops at the dash, attached to an adjustable under dash mount. U-joints, shaft and rod end bearings to be determined by the builder.)
